Yak-Boy

In Shangri-La, you don´t meet cows, you meet yaks, you don´t meet cowboys, you meet yakboys! Well adapted to the environment (the city sits at an altitude of about 3,000 meters), yaks have found their way into every part of the culture - the fields, the clothes, and the kitchen.

I met this Yak-Boy in a small village close to the city, and he became my guide. Despite the language barrier, he presented his village with passion and a great sense of pride.
